Little Miss Teacher is a place where those of us in the classroom can share our ideas, resources and experiences. We can also have a good old moan and share some of those funny little things our children say!

World Cup Reading

The National Literacy Trust website has links to Reading The Game, a project using footballers to promote literacy amongst adults and children alike. With the World Cup just around the corner, we may as well use it in the classroom however we can!

I found the site a bit awkward to navigate, but if you look, there are some nice ideas. I particularly liked reading about Premier League footballers' favourite books in the Reading Champion section.

There are lots of book recommendations, but not much in the way of online material. Still, reading about what their favourite football stars read may inspire some of your children.
