Little Miss Teacher is a place where those of us in the classroom can share our ideas, resources and experiences. We can also have a good old moan and share some of those funny little things our children say!

World Book Day Resources

World Book Day is on 2nd March and this year's theme is celebrations. The official site has lots of useful resources and is split into pre-school, primary and secondary resources. You might need to pick and choose a bit as some are a bit bland, but if you choose to read one of the chosen titles in class, you will have heaps of activities to follow up with. There is also quite a lot of Sudoku if you're hooked!

By the way, the site is illustrated by Nick Sharrat, whom I adore!

Here are a few other good children's book sites to look at too:

Booktrusted

The Children's Laureate - Jacqueline Wilson

Reading Really Matters - Author Links

Focus On Fiction (Australian site)

Scholastic Book Week Tips
